New Appointment to BRIs Board of Directors

BRI Asset Management has announced the appointment of Hannah Edwards to the Board of Directors with effect from April 1st. Hannah will take on the responsibility of Commercial Director, taking ownership for marketing, business development and professional connections at board level.

Hannah relocated from London in January 2010 where she had held a senior role at London brokers’ Killik & Co heading up the New Client Division. It is therefore a fantastic achievement for Hannah to have been promoted to the board in a relatively short space of time.

Joint Chief Executive Paul Cusack comments “We have been delighted with the increase in press coverage on the back of Hannah’s media profile as a financial commentator. Hannah has also delivered some super results in bringing on both private and intermediary clients from pretty much a standing start.”

Since Hannah’s arrival the firm has reviewed its marketing and communications strategy and has also brought new service offerings to market, including a BRI SIPP. The firm is also due to launch shortly a more formal discretionary solution, aimed at the intermediary market.

BRI is a privately owned wealth manager with just under 40 years heritage. Still proudly independent the company has a completely unbiased investment approach and has considerable expertise in running, private, pension and trust money.

Chairman Simon Boardman-Weston confirmed; “Hannah offered a completely new skillset to the firm that complements what is already a highly skilled and professional investment firm. As a result we have been able to drive the business into new areas not previously pursued. Hannah’s promotion to Commercial Director will undoubtedly contribute to our medium term aspiration to grow the business to £500million Assets Under Management by the end of 2015.”

Hannah is originally from Worcester and is a committed Rotarian, Worcester Ambassador and fundraiser for local hospices.

Hannah is available for any comments across a wide variety of topics including the recent Lord Davies review on diversity on boards.

Edwards comments: "It is a generally very exciting time for the company and I am confident that I can add diversity and a fresh pair of eyes to the board. Coming from a financial planning background ensures I can talk the same language as many of our introducers."
